To promote the importance of work life balance, the Company organized a one-day outing trip on 3 December, 2016. Over 70 staff and their families have joined and it presented a great opportunity for all colleagues to put down their work, go out to the country side and enjoy a wonderful day with each other.

We started off hiking at Ma Shi Chau nature trail, which was a special area designated in 1999 to preserve rock formations and rich minerals. The nature trail runs along the rocky shores of the island and presents many types of rocks and landforms. With a beautiful view along the way, lots of our staff took photos with their families and colleagues to capture the joyful moment as well as trying to win the “Photo Contest” organized by the Company. The hiking took about 1.5 hours to finish, and then we headed to our next stop, Tai Mei Tuk BBQ Site, for barbecue lunch.

After lunch, we went to visit the “Fu Kum Organic Dragon Fruit Farm”. It is a farm that spans an area of around 500,000 square feet, and is well known for its organic dragon fruit. We learned how to make “cha kwo” by using the material provided by the farm, and it ended up with a lot of creative shapes of “cha kwo” on the plates.

“I have a lot of fun today!” one of our staff expressed after the trip. “If you ask me to choose what to do during my day off before this trip, maybe I would rather go watching a movie than visiting the places we have been today. But hiking and having BBQ lunch with colleagues and family was actually a lot of fun, and I have had a great time.”
