"Epro Tele-Caring Program 2018” organized by Epro and the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong has come to the end. As a roundup of the yearly program, we held a day camp in Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre for all volunteer staff and participants to share an enjoyable day together.
After getting there early in the morning, we had a short walk around the campus before moving to the archery range. Followed the learning of some basic archery skills, we all started practising and everyone was able to successfully shoot the target by the end of the day, which gave us all a great sense of achievement! After lunch, we attended the handicraft class. All of us learned how to make simple handicraft products and later on exchanged with each other as a gift and memory for all the time we shared during the year.
In the last sharing session, a number of staff reflected that they are not only happy to serve as a volunteer for this meaningful program but are also very glad to have gained and built up friendships with the participants. The whole event was perfectly ended by singing the Cantonese song, “Friends” together. |
